Make sure you really care. If you dont care, get out of the business. Honestly, honestly care about your community, about the people there, and not in the way where its all about problems, but in a way of uplifting and encouraging people and inspiring and moving them forward. If thats really it, you have to really care about personal growth. My daughter came home two years ago at Christmas, and my husband and I interview the kids at the New Year to see where theyre going. I said to my daughter, I dont think youre progressing. You went to high school, and now youve gone to college, and youve just extended your high school into college. I dont see any spiritual or mental growth or anything like that. That interview turned her life around. You have to really care that people in your office are growing and progressing.
