If you could give our members one piece of advice on Recruiting, Retention or Agent Productivity, what would it be?

Make every contact you have with your agents a 'feel better' experience for them, no matter how bad of a day you're having. Learn to accomplish several things with every contact you have with each agent:

1. Listen carefully and fully to what they're saying without interrupting (so they feel important).
2. Compliment them for something they've done or are doing well.
3. Give sound advice, if solicited.
4. Recognize their strengths, and remind the agent how it gives them an advantage.
5. Make sure they feel better about you, the company, and mostly themselves - before every contact ends.

Accomplishing all this during every contact brings two results - a.) an agent who becomes addicted to 'feeling better' and will never leave, and b.) an agent who wants to return the favor and make you 'feel better',who will actively bring you good prospects to recruit.
