If you could give our members one piece of advice on Recruiting, Retention or Agent Productivity, what would it be?

Remember that there was a great invention introduced to the world by Alexander Graham Bell and it was called the telephone. Every recruiter should use it to set up interview appointments. Forget about mailings, unless its followed up with a phone call. Use the phone instead because it is the best way to reach recruits when done consistently. There are some important rules to remember when recruiting and they are very similar to those found in selling.

1. Be goal oriented
2. Have a desire for high achievement
3. Have strong emotional intelligence
4. Keep good social skills and remain personable.
